Jewelry

POLAND

As Chief Operating Officer of one of Poland’s most established jewelry manufacturers — a family-owned company with over 100 years of tradition — I have led a comprehensive operational and strategic transformation, bridging century-old craftsmanship with modern process excellence.

My role centers on driving sustainable growthdigital transformation, and operational performance across every function of the organization. I oversee the company’s production, procurement, logistics, HR, finance, legal, and digital operations, ensuring that all processes are aligned, efficient, and scalable.

Key Activities and Achievements:

End-to-End Process Optimization & Lean Transformation

I led a company-wide process optimization initiative, mapping and improving workflows across all critical business areas:

  • Production: Standardized manufacturing steps, balanced workloads, and optimized production scheduling to minimize downtime and lead time. Introduced quality checkpoints and visual control systems for consistent output and precision.
  • Procurement: Streamlined supplier selection, ordering, and replenishment processes; introduced data-driven inventory control and forecasting tools to prevent shortages and overstocking.
  • Logistics: Reorganized warehouse layout, improved material flow, and established Kanban-based restocking for greater agility. Reduced internal transport time and improved traceability of materials and finished goods.
  • Finance: Introduced cost-tracking mechanisms tied to production stages, enabling real-time margin monitoring. Improved budgeting, expense categorization, and forecasting accuracy through system integration.
  • HR & Team Operations: Implemented clear role definitions, performance KPIs, and structured reporting lines. Launched internal communication tools and feedback loops to improve collaboration and accountability.
  • Sales & Order Fulfillment: Designed streamlined order-to-delivery workflows, integrated online and offline sales processes, and enhanced visibility across departments.
  • Customer Service & After-Sales: Introduced structured case tracking and service metrics to ensure rapid resolution and continuous improvement.

Applying Lean and continuous improvement principles, I eliminated redundant steps, automated repetitive tasks, and built performance dashboards that now guide daily operations.

The result was a significant reduction in operational wasteshorter lead times, and a higher output-to-cost ratio — while maintaining the craftsmanship and quality synonymous with our heritage.

Legal and Compliance Strengthening

I led the modernization of the company’s legal and compliance framework, introducing standardized workflows for contracts, supplier agreements, and intellectual property protection.
This created a solid foundation for risk management and ensured compliance with both local and EU regulations — preparing the business for international expansion and strategic partnerships.

Organizational Redesign & Leadership Development

To support new processes, I redesigned the organizational structure, clarifying roles, responsibilities, and reporting hierarchies.

Through hands-on coaching and leadership alignment, I built a structure where every function operates efficiently, cross-department communication is fluid, and decision-making is fast and data-informed.

Digital Transformation & E-Commerce Launch

Recognizing the importance of digital presence, I led the creation of the company’s online store and coordinated the development of a modern, responsive corporate website.

I defined the digital strategy, overseeing UI/UX design, content direction, and integration with back-end systems (ERP and CRM).
Marketing campaigns emphasized our craftsmanship, Polish heritage, and sustainable production, helping reposition the brand in the premium jewelry segment.

ERP System Design & Implementation

I spearheaded the design and rollout of a fully integrated ERP system, connecting production, procurement, logistics, finance, and sales into a unified ecosystem.

My responsibilities included:

  • Full process mapping and data migration.
  • System architecture and customization to fit our unique manufacturing model.
  • Overseeing integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and quality assurance.
  • Preparing training materials and user documentation.
  • Conducting employee workshops to ensure confident adoption.

The ERP implementation created real-time transparency, improved cross-functional alignment, and turned decision-making into a data-driven process.

The transformation resulted in measurable improvements across multiple areas of the business, including enhanced production efficiency, stronger legal and compliance frameworks, a more streamlined organizational structure, and a robust digital presence that effectively positioned the manufacturer for long-term success. This holistic approach not only modernized our operations but also reinforced our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, ensuring the company remains competitive in the dynamic jewelry market.
