A rapidly scaling, NYC-based skincare manufacturer serving global beauty leaders such as Estée Lauder, L’Oréal, and Drunk Elephant faced rising demand, operational complexity, and increasing pressure to modernize its systems and processes. To sustain growth and maintain regulatory excellence, the company needed a robust, integrated ERP platform and a complete transformation of its operational workflows.

The company operated across multiple continents with fragmented systems, manual workflows, and inconsistent reporting across production, inventory, logistics, and finance. Growth had outpaced operations.

SOLUTION — My Role as Transformation Lead & Process Engineer

I led the global process transformation initiative and ERP implementation, serving as the central point between IT, operations, design, development, and executive leadership.


1. ERP Implementation & System Design

I collaborated directly with developers and UX designers to configure an ERP system tailored to the company’s production, inventory, and fulfillment needs.

My focus:

  • Translating business requirements into technical designs
  • Ensuring the ERP supported global operations across NA, EU, and Asia
  • Creating workflows that were intuitive, scalable, and automation-ready
  • Managing cross-functional alignment between IT and business teams

2. Business Process Mapping & Optimization

I led the full end-to-end process mapping initiative.

Activities included:

  • Analyzing current workflows across production, warehousing, R&D, and order fulfillment
  • Identifying bottlenecks, manual inefficiencies, and data gaps
  • Redesigning workflows to increase speed, reduce complexity, and eliminate duplication

Outcomes:

  • Faster decision-making
  • Better cross-department coordination
  • More accurate planning and forecasting

3. Global Stakeholder Engagement

Working across North America, Europe, and Asia, I ensured that:

  • Regional needs were incorporated into the ERP design
  • All teams received consistent communication
  • Training and go-lives were aligned across time zones

I acted as the global integrator, ensuring the solution worked for every market without compromising standardization.


4. Process Engineering & Automation

As the project’s lead process engineer, I:

  • Designed future-state workflows
  • Optimized labor allocation and material flow
  • Proposed automations that removed repetitive tasks
  • Ensured scalability for new product lines and future demand increases
